TRANSPORTATION
BASIC TRAFFIC LAWS IN ARIZONA
Traffic laws vary from state to state. Here are a couple of tips to keep in mind as you travel through the city of Tucson:
- Some intersections have a delayed left-turn arrow that cycles after the red light.
- Drivers may turn right on a red light, unless otherwise signposted.
- Several downtown-area streets are one-way only.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
As the city expands, it is not unusual to encounter road construction throughout the city. The most significant project is the widening of Interstate 10, which affects the on-ramps between Prince Road and 29th Street. All major cross streets are open and local traffic is routed to frontage roads.
